Hodeidah: Press Conference at Oil Tank Facilities Targeted by Israeli Aggression
Hodeidah: Press Conference at Oil Tank Facilities Targeted by Israeli Aggression

A press conference was held today at the oil tank facilities in Hodeidah Port, which were targeted by Israeli aggression, to discuss the repercussions of this crime. The conference was organized by the Ministries of Human Rights, Oil and Minerals, and the local authority of the governorate, as well as the Ain al-Insaniyah Center for Rights and Development.

The conference, attended by representatives of local and foreign media and oil facility workers, and entitled "Zionist Aggression against Yemen and Continued International Silence," addressed the United Nations' missing role in this heinous crime and all the crimes committed by the Zionist entity in Yemen and Palestine.

In the conference, the Minister of Human Rights in the caretaker government, Ali al-Dilami, addressed the suffering of the people of Hodeidah Governorate amid the extreme heat and the repercussions of the Israeli aggression's deliberate targeting of electricity, oil facilities, and Hodeidah Port.

He said, "We in Yemen have expressed our full solidarity with Gaza, which is subjected to the worst crimes in history, and as a result of this honorable stance, the Zionist entity has targeted economic facilities in an attempt to deter Yemenis from supporting the Palestinian people."

He explained that the evidence of the destruction and damage to these facilities and oil tanks, which are a fundamental pillar for unloading and transporting petroleum products to all governorates, is only part of the crimes and siege that the Yemeni people have been subjected to for nine years under the shameful international silence.

Minister al-Dilami affirmed that the revenge of the criminal enemy entity against civilians and targeting vital facilities in Hodeidah Governorate is the result of the shock it suffered and the state of fear and panic that gripped it as a result of the qualitative operation carried out by the Yemeni armed forces with a drone in the occupied city of "Yafa."

He pointed out that this crime, which is added to the list of crimes of the Israeli enemy in both Palestine and Yemen, comes with unlimited and continued American support, and without this support, this usurping entity would not have dared to commit genocide against a defenseless people in Gaza and the occupied territories.

He noted that the Ministry of Human Rights and human rights organizations have worked to document the effects and damages resulting from the Israeli aggression's targeting of civilian objects in Hodeidah Governorate, criticizing the negative role of the United Nations towards these crimes that targeted Yemen's vital artery, Hodeidah Port.

He said, "The continued silence of the United Nations and its failure to take any action towards what happened as a crime and damage that affected the most prominent economic and vital facilities is a shameful matter for this international organization that has no basic role in the various wars and violations against humanity."

Minister al-Dilami addressed the silence of the United Nations towards what the United States is seeking to protect the Israeli entity and complicate justice procedures and make amendments regarding the humanitarian aspect and the pursuit of perpetrators of crimes by restricting international courts with many procedures that help the Zionist entity evade punishment.

The Minister of Human Rights also pointed out that Yemen is still subjected to many of these arbitrary measures that the Palestinian people are subjected to, which encourage the perpetrators of crimes to escalate their violations and deepen the humanitarian suffering of the Yemeni people as a result of the continued systematic siege and unjustified restrictions.

Al-Dilami considered this crime, which blatantly violates international laws and charters, a serious escalation for which the Zionist entity, America, and Britain bear the consequences, calling on the United Nations and human rights organizations to break their silence and condemn what the enemy is doing in terms of direct killing and destruction of civilian facilities.

He called on the international community and humanitarian organizations to fulfill their legal and humanitarian duty towards the crimes and violations that Yemen and Palestine are subjected to, and to demand the prosecution of the perpetrators of these crimes and the cessation of the interventions carried out by America and Britain in the region.

The Governor of Hodeidah, Mohammed Ayash Qahim, for his part, stressed that committing these crimes, as a result of the Yemeni people's position supporting Palestine in Gaza, is clear evidence that the US administration is the first sponsor of terrorism in the world, and violates international laws and regulations and human rights and commits massacres against people. The Governor of Hodeidah pointed out that targeting fuel tank facilities will not deter or terrorize the people of the governorate, but rather increase their steadfastness in facing challenges and confronting conspiracies.. Pointing out that the positions of the Yemeni people towards Palestine are embodied today in the steadfastness of the people of Hodeidah in the face of the barbarism and continuous Israeli, American and British bombing.

For his part, the head of the Ain Al-Insaniya Development Center, Ahmed Abu Hamra, confirmed that the crime of the Israeli enemy targeting service facilities in Hodeidah, including fuel tanks in the port of Hodeidah, represents an extension of the series of crimes against the Yemeni people since 2015.

He explained that the crime of the Israeli aggression targeting these facilities in Hodeidah Governorate resulted in the death of nine martyrs and more than 83 wounded, most of whom are in critical condition, and there are still missing persons being searched for. He stressed that these crimes will not be subject to statute of limitations and their perpetrators will be tried.

The Yemeni people remain, perhaps the only people in the world who struggle to support and assist the Palestinian people against the massacres committed by the Israeli enemy against Gaza
